Biography

I study the physics of animal swimming at intermediate scales and the transport of large particles in turbulence, particularly in the environment. I am interested the way that animals and inertial particles (e.g. sediment, microplastics, or marine aggregates) interact with turbulent flow.

The FOE meeting allowed me to make connections to other engineers working across a dizzying array of cutting-edge topics; it is a great place to broaden your mind and learn new things.
