My research focuses on helping organizations and people collaborate by sharing data without compromising security or privacy by spanning the algorithmic and theoretical foundations of distributed systems, machine learning, and privacy-enhancing technologies.

I found FOE to be a wonderful opportunity; it helped me expand my understanding of the most pressing problems in other subfields of engineering and how they relate to my own work. It also helped me understand what my counterparts are studying in other countries--in my case, Japan. I found it to be a very enriching academic and cultural experience, and I encourage other engineers to participate as well!
