My research lies in incorporating manufacturing, cost, and geometric constraints in topology and shape optimization for design exploration of structures and material systems with the aim of exploring efficient structures tailored to a specific manufacturing process, with applications from machine components to bone scaffolds.

I attended online during the time when in-person meetings were cancelled due to the COVID pandemic. Despite being unable to participate in an in-person FOE, attending this meeting was an important opportunity to learn about exciting research opportunities in areas different from those of my own research, which is something I do not necessarily get in the topical conferences I typically attend.
